Who we are
LinkUpCT (LinkUp Cape Town) is operated from Cape Town, South Africa. Our official website is linkupct.co.za and the only email address we use to contact members is hello@linkupct.co.za. We will never ask you for a password, an OTP, or card details over email or WhatsApp.
What we collect and why
- Quiz answers — your interests, life stage and the tribes you'd like to meet, so we can match you to the right people and meetups.
- Contact details — your name and email, so we can send meetup invitations and membership updates.
- Membership status — which plan you're on and its billing period, so we know what you have access to.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share your contact details with other members unless you both agree to be introduced.
Who processes data on our behalf
- Paystack — payment processing. Card details are entered on Paystack's own secure checkout and are never stored by LinkUpCT.
- Tally — hosts the matching quiz form and stores your responses.
- Lovable — hosts and serves this website over an encrypted connection.
Consent, safety and community conduct
Connections on LinkUpCT are mutual-consent by design: an introduction only happens when both people opt in. You can ask us to pause your matching, leave a tribe, or stop meetup invitations at any time and we'll action it.
If someone in a LinkUpCT space makes you uncomfortable, email hello@linkupct.co.za and we'll respond within 24 hours.
Your privacy requests
Under South Africa's POPI Act you may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it and close your membership. Email hello@linkupct.co.za with the subject line "Privacy request" and we'll confirm within 24 hours and complete it as quickly as we can.
Reporting a security concern
If you spot something that looks like a vulnerability, a phishing site impersonating LinkUpCT, or a payment link you don't recognise, please tell us at hello@linkupct.co.za before sharing it publicly. Genuine LinkUpCT checkout links always begin with Paystack's domain, and every real LinkUpCT page lives on linkupct.co.za.
